Retrieve Lost Password

If you forget your password, you can easily reset it yourself - provided you have an email address that is up-to-date in your user profile. The easiest way to ensure this is to make sure you provide an email address in Web4 and that this email address always matches the email address in your profile in Insight.

Step 1: Click on "Lost password?"

To request a password reset via email, click on the "Lost password?" link below the login area on the Insight homepage (http://insight.ccsf.edu).

Step 2: Type in your CCSF Student ID or your email address.

Once you've clicked this link, you'll be redirected to a new screen that prompts you to type in EITHER your CCSF Student ID -or- your email address you have registered to your profile. [Do NOT type in both.]

Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Check your email - twice.

A message will appear telling you that if you've entered the information correctly an automated email with your password reset information will be emailed to the email address set in your profile.

1) Check your email for message confirming your email address with Insight. Click on the link in the email address and follow the prompts on screen. Then,
2) Check your email AGAIN for a new message that will contain the new temporary password.

Then, login at http://insight.ccsf.edu with your username and this new temporary password. You'll be prompted to type the temporary password once, and then type a new password of your choosing twice to login.
